As Business Owners we are normally the best in our business at everything and the centre of attention…yet we are also the most expensive and most time poor person in the business.  

This shortage of time creates the mental battleground of a Business Owner.  Our parents simply came to work and did what was in front of them then went home so we were never trained in effective multi-tasking or taming rapidly changing priorities.  

When we finally beat the pressure, the questions from the team, the customer enquiries and all the other interruptions competing for our thought space then something wonderful happens. Our vision can become clear.  The clearer our vision…the more energy we can unleash.

Why is this? A regular hour or so of clutter-free creative thinking can save years of hard labour.  

The more you know why you are doing what we are doing, the more freedom you to have to explore all kinds of ways to get there.  

The clearer you are on why you are developing a new system or creating a new marketing strategy or learning a new supervision skill, then the more you will tap into new ideas, read new books, listen to  advisors, trial different solutions, reflect on new ideas and look with fresh eyes at how your toughest competitors do it.

In my coaching I have known for many years the power of clarity.  Setting goals clears the fog created by all the other mental clutter.  Clarity creates power. Power creates action.  Action creates results.

This month, take some time out of your life to get your goals clear and written down.  When you have finished your head will be clearer, you will a wave of new energy and you will have the space to beat those same old problems with new and better solutions.
